If you have an Asus Notebook or an Asus Laptop then you will have a great little portable laptop that is known for its small size and convenience. This is an incredibly useful item to own and one that can help you to become much more productive while at the same time giving you the ability to enjoy working in the sun and elsewhere.
Of course at the same time though you do take something of a hit when it comes to the power and the specs. While a small Asus notebook is always going to be powerful enough to use the majority of software you want to, and to multitask. Asus netbook laptops don’t have quite the same capabilities when it comes to playing games. If you are a ‘hardcore’ PC gamer, then you will need to get a full sized computer with a powerful CPU and graphics card.
Still though, that’s not to say that you can use Asus notebook laptops to play some great games, and there actually are some fantastic and modern games out there that you will be able to enjoy even on these slightly lower specs (and it’s all the more fun for being so portable). Thanks to the growth in Indie games through selling platforms such as Steam, it is now possible to get very cheap games that have been made by hobbyists and small teams of developers. If you want to play some games on your Asus then this is a way to get games that generally don’t have the same high demands for your system’s specs, but that nevertheless have great artistic styles and are often presented in HD to help you show of that new computer’s capabilities.
At the same time you can also use Asus notebook laptops to play older games and this is an ideal way to get some great games running on your machine. One way to find these is by looking for old shareware DOS games. These are completely free but you get a lot more content than you do in today’s ‘demos’. At the same time they have a great ‘retro’ feel which for many people is very nostalgic.
Meanwhile if you own a SNES or a Megadrive and some games, then it’s actually legal for you to download emulated versions of the games in your possession to play on your PC. For this you will need an emulator and the ROMs to run from it, but you can get these from many sites online – just be careful of malware which often inhabit these websites. This way you can get Sonic the Hedgehog or other similar games running.
And if you have had a PC for a while, and you bought some PC games for your big machine five or ten years ago, then chances are that your Asus notebook laptop can play them fairly easily despite its diminutive size. All you will need to have a go at that though is a portable CD drive so that you can easily install and run the games if there isn’t one in your Asus notebook.
